Geeky fun with docker and docker-compose
Details
Join us for a fun, geeky challenge. We will review and run through an Open Source project that uses docker and docker-compose. I'll show you some complex and simpler examples of how to set up and configure your own virtual containers.
Docker is a powerful tool for hobbyists and professionals, enabling us all to run just about any OS we wish, with any combination of tools and libraries.
If you are new to software development, this is for you! The more you play, the more you learn, so please join us even if this is all new to you.
This event is free! No recruiters or hiring managers allowed. Pizza and soda/water will be provided.
Please bring a laptop, and ensure that you can run the tool "ssh" for Linux/Mac or putty.exe for Windows. We will be working on remote servers, and getting to those servers requires these tools. if you aren't sure how to do this, or if ssh/putty do not work on your machine, please message me here in the next week or so, and I can help you get that running before our session. Please don't wait until the night before the session to find out that this isn't working for you.
