πŸ’¬πŸ’¬πŸ’¬ ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS πŸ’¬πŸ’¬πŸ’¬

πŸ“’ Vue.js from the eyes of a React Fanboy
πŸ—£οΈ David Ashe

Wherein I teach myself Vue.js and then tell you what it was like, as a total React fanboy. What does Vue do better? Is React, gulp, in trouble?

About David:
In the times before the oceans drank atlantis, I messed around with java. Then I did a bootcamp, lurned the yavascript, and now I occasionally shout about computing at meetups.

πŸ“’From NG2 to Vue: A Comparison of a Junior Dev learning Angular and Vue on the fly.
πŸ—£οΈ Joshua Philips

Learning and implementing different technologies efficiently is a key skill in the career of a developer, so I am going to give a quick comparison of learning Angular and Vue as a Junior Dev.

About Joshua:
Fullstack Developer and recent NYC transplant. Short Bio Enthusiast

We can't wait to have our first Vue PicNYC and are looking forward to seeing you there!

We hope this will be a fun and welcoming event for everyone to interact with the commvuenity in a new and on-brand color environment, the great outdoors! (It's green. Vuerdant, even.)

Here are a few tips and notes from us on how to stay comfortable tomorrow:

🌳🌳🌳 We have heard that non-permit events at the park have an attendance limit of 25, hence our meetup attendance is officially capped at the first 25 attendees, organizers, and speakers to arrive. 🌳🌳🌳

There is a small chance of light showers, which, should they happen, we will try to push through. As such, we recommend you to bring an umbrella β˜”οΈ as well as other accoutrements that may help you feel comfortable such as:

- seating: something soft to keep you dry and remind you of home 🏑
- drink: a beverage to keep you hydrated πŸ₯›
- sunscreen: to protect you from its rays πŸ’°
- bugspray: BDD! πŸ›

🍞 We will be bringing some delicious (vegan) sandwiches and wraps for you; please feel free to bring along any favorite snacks! 🍞
