November *In Person* Vue.js LA Meetup!

Hey Everyone!

We have our November IN-PERSON meetup coming up!

Thanks to Drew and Funkhaus, we are Meeting at Funkhaus once again, Tuesday November 9th, 6:30-8:30pm!

Everyone was great with the Covid protocols last time and we're keeping it up. To join us, you MUST:

1. Show Vaccination Card (paper or digital).
2. Wear a Mask
3. RSVP (we have limited spots in the room available).

• There will be pizza at the start of the event, exclusively when we are outside so people can eat -- so if you want to eat, make sure to get there for the first 20-ish minutes!

Agenda, Part I:
I'm excited about our new speaker, Yi Lin, will be giving a presentation about Vue in the Enterprise.
Yi has built a custom sales dashboard build upon an open source ERP system called Odoo (odoo.com). Instead of modifying the ERP itself, which restricts the freedom for us to build any UI we want, we opted to shield away from the ERP using a REST API, and use Vue so we can build whatever UI we want with minimal effort.

About Yi Lin: Yi has 15+ years of experience as a software engineer, designer and consultant. He has previously worked at Apple and Amazon, but now focuses on consulting and personal projects.

It has been a long while since we've had a open Q&A session. PLEASE BRING QUESTIONS! ...And an appetite to share what you are working on and discuss.
A lot of stuff has improved in Vue, and we want to hear what people are using, what people are stuck on, and what people are excited about.

Covid Protocols:

1. Everyone who attends must be vaccinated and must show their vaccine cards (either paper or in digital form is fine). If you do plan on coming we cannot make exceptions (even if you forget them at home). I will personally be checking this at the door. Please feel free to email me with any questions.
2. Masks will be mandatory. We expect everyone to wear them the entire time (except for Jon when he is speaking).
3. We are going to limit the number of RSVPs to 20 people. So, if you plan on coming, please RSVP, but also please be mindful not to RSVP if you are not going to show up, so that the slots are available for those who will really come.
