Cottonwood Social Ride - 2 different rides
Details
Friday Regular Ride
The ride starts at The Neighborhood Coffee Shop in Cottonwood. Ride time is about 2 hours and the ride length is about 20 miles.
This is a slightly shorter ride around Cottonwood and Clarkdale. Requirements for the ride are the desire to ride and socialize with others, have fun, wear a helmet, and ride safely. Typical speed is 10-14 MPH. No riders are dropped and the group stops and re-groups. Maximum elevation gain is about 500 feet. Recent ride attendance is between 6-12 riders.
Friday Casual Ride
This ride is especially for bicyclists that are new to group bike rides and not ready for the faster pace of our regular road rides. Possible route may be to Deadhorse State Park where traffic isn’t much of a problem when riding and unfamiliar with bike riding rules of the road. Ride starts at “Your Neighborhood Coffee Shop” at the same time as the main ride group. Any bike will do, but you must wear a helmet and should be able to ride 8-10 miles and an average speed of about 8-10 mph.
All riders meet at the Neighborhood Coffee Shop in Cottonwood after the ride for coffee and conversation. If you have questions about the ride contact Mike Owen
