A rare workshop for creatives, presented by the Warehouse Arts District Association
Benoit Glazer grew up in the Laurentian mountains of Québec and began teaching in McGill University's jazz department at just 21. By then, he was already an accomplished touring and studio musician. Over his extraordinary career, he has performed live for over 15 million people, appeared on albums that have sold millions of copies, and spent nearly two decades as the conductor for Cirque du Soleil’s La Nouba.
In 2000, he founded Timucua Arts Foundation—one of Florida’s most beloved and innovative interdisciplinary arts spaces—where he continues to serve as artistic and technical director. An award-winning musician, philanthropist, and visionary, Benoit is widely recognized for transforming performance venues into inclusive, artist-centered communities.### In this dynamic, behind-the-scenes workshop, Benoit will share:
- His personal evolution from touring musician to arts venue founder and community-builder
- Candid stories from multi-disciplinary collaborations and arts initiatives over the last 25 years
- The origin and impact of Timucua’s Artists in Resonance program
- Lessons learned from integrating visual art, music, and storytelling under one roof
- Practical advice on navigating the pitfalls and possibilities of structured arts programs
- Strategies for elevating both artists and audiences through thoughtful curation and design
Whether you're a visual artist, musician, educator, curator, or arts administrator, this is your chance to connect with one of the region’s most accomplished cultural leaders and walk away with inspiration, insights, and tools to shape your own interdisciplinary journey.
