Mohican Site #4 Campout & Day Hikes

Join me for a two night campout and some day hikes.

We will meet in the Bridle Trail Staging Area Parking Lot (backpacking section) located on SR 97 just East of the Shrine. Meet at 1pm Sunday.

We'll hike to our site, set up camp, get our wood ready for the night, hike to sites 5&6 to check them out, then come back. We can either eat dinner in camp, or head back out to Trails End Restaurant just down Route 3. Hours are 11-8pm. Attendees will decide 2 days before the event so you know what food to bring.

Monday after breakfast we will drive to the Overlook, park, and hike the 1.4 mile Gorge Overlook Trail rated difficult. Pack a lunch to keep in the vehicle and we will take to the next hike.

Hike 2: Drive over to the old sites #8-#10 and check out how they look after being closed down. It's an out and back and less than 3 miles of pretty easy trail. We can take our stoves and chairs and eat lunch at one of the old sites.

Head back to camp for the night, build our fire and hang out.

Make sure you are bringing a day pack and headlamp as it gets dark early now. Bring everything to be self-supporting. If it rains, I will cancel, but snow it fine. :)
