Saturday, APRIL 5, 2025: Wake Audubon Society monthly meeting, 1245 pm to 2:30 MOVED FROM APRIL 8 TO A SPECIAL PRESENTATION in the Daily Planet Theater, Nature Research Center (NC Museum of Natural Science), 121 W Jones St, Raleigh, NC 27603, USA ON SATURDAY, APRIL 5.
There will NOT be a Zoom meeting, but, the Museum will provide a livestream link. Check the websites listed below.
Note that parking is free on Saturdays.

Presentation Title: “Feathers Fill the Sky: Bird Tales from Around the World.” with Dr. Milbre Burch

Each show will consist of folktales selected from many cultures – the Americas (including indigenous groups and Cajun and Latinx cultures), Asia, the African Diaspora, Eastern Europe.
20-minute storytelling sessions will begin at 1**:00 pm, 1:30 pm and 2:00** pm on ** SATURDAY April 5 in the Daily Planet Theater at the NC Mus Nat Sci.
Caregivers must remain with their children throughout the storytelling program. ** Please note the change from the usual TUESDAY meeting time & location.

Participation is free, and registration is available but does not reserve a seat in the Theater. Theater seating will be available first-come, first-served. The theater seats 100 (if you count chairs on all floors that can see the theater screens).

This presentation is by Milbre Burch a GRAMMY-nominated spoken-word recording artist, an internationally known storyteller, and a sought-after teaching artist and coach. A teaching artist since 1978, she holds a doctorate in theater and performance. from the University of Missouri. Featured at the National Storytelling Festival nine times since 1984, she has performed at festivals across the US and in Europe and Asia. With Berkley Hudson, she curated the archival Storytelling Project of the Cotsen Children’s Library at Princeton University.
