Title: Ghost-Chasers: Search for Blue Ghost Fireflies
Date/time: Wednesday, April 30th, 2025; 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Location: Durant Nature Preserve (probably south entrance; check back for updates).
Description: Piedmont blue ghost fireflies are spring fireflies. They are very elusive, so much so that they were only recently recognized as a new species in the Piedmont. We'll join the hunt as part of the City Nature Challenge 2024. Bring a flashlight and water bottle. Pre-registration is required, and participants must be 16 or older.
