Birding at Bass Lake and Sugg Farm, 2025-06-22

Join Wake Audubon for birding at Bass Lake and Sugg Farm on SUNDAY, JUNE 822, 2025, at 8:15. Please sign up for this walk, as we try to limit this to 25 birders. Leader is usually Jessica Williams but the substitute leader will be Erla Beegle this month (optmystc1@Gmail.com 919-673-6136).

This 2+ mile walk on unpaved trails begins at 8:15 and ends approximately 10:30. The park opens at 8 am. The address is 900 Bass Lake Road, Holly Springs, NC (note that this is the main parking lot, not the smaller lot on another road). Meet on the trail near the restrooms. The unpaved trail can be a tad soggy after a heavy rain. We will walk the east side of Bass Lake to the inflow marsh end, then back. We will skip Sugg Farm, which is a recently-acquired extension of Bass Lake Park.
