Come enjoy an evening of swift watching with members of Wake Audubon and local Fuquay-Varina area Chimney Swift enthusiasts.
There will be displays and experts on hand to answer questions and share information about these special birds. We can expect to see several hundred swifts put on a display as they come to roost for the night.
Viewing will be from the campus quad, located on the central grounds behind the school buildings. Plenty of parking is available across Ennis Street at the Willard O. Council Gymnasium or at Falcon Park, as well as street parking. (look for a tall chimney and a big crowd.)
There is no maximum limit to the number of participants allowed to register. No wait list necessary. Sunset is 7:49 PM and they finish entering the chimney by 30 minutes after sunset, when darkness falls.
