Location 2801 West Millbrook Road, Raleigh NC
Birdability Week is a celebration of birders with disabilities and other health concerns, as well as an opportunity to share resources and ideas to help the birding community become accessible, inclusive, and welcoming to everybody!
Join us for an accessible bird outing around Raleigh's wetland recharge park, Wooten Meadow Park, on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 8:30 to 9:30am There is ample parking, no steps, no steep slopes, and the north half of the 21-acre park has paved walkways through a picturesque wetland marsh, a grassy field, and a set of native trees, shrubs, grasses, and wildflowers (and birds). Note that there is no restroom. Service animals welcome.
Birdability Week 2025 takes place October 20-26, 2025 with the theme “You Belong Here.” Organized by Birdability, this national event celebrates accessibility and inclusion in birding, affirming that birding is for everybody and every body.
