The Brecon Beacons Amazing Four Waterfalls
Clungwyn , Ystradfellte Rd, Pontneddfechan, Neath SA11 5US, Neath, GBWe occasionally have bookings through other channels for hikes with low attendance. When this occurs, we'll share those hikes with this Meetup group in order to make the day more enjoyable, as 'social' is what we are all about. We are limiting tickets available to this Wales Outdoors Social group to four spots.
Join a local guide on a simply amazing small group tour of this circular hiking route in the Waterfalls area of the Brecon Beacons National Park. See the four main waterfalls of the national park as well as some smaller falls and cascades, and admire the scenic valleys and the forest landscapes.
We will then visit each waterfall as you learn about the local area from your guide. You'll gain 250m of height on the 8km hike, which is often over rough, muddy and broken ground. For our hiking troubles, we get amazing scenic views of the park and wonderful memories of sparkling waterfalls.
Immerse yourself in the landscape as you get the chance to walk behind some of the waterfalls. Perhaps you will take an invigorating swim in the final pool to finish off the tour!

Llanhilleth Railway Station, Commercial Rd, Llanhilleth, Abertillery NP13 2HT, llanhilleth, GBIf you want to be surprised by the beauty of a post industrial landscape then this is the hike for you! Aberbeeg happens to be Andy's go to when promoting the Gwent Valleys and then there is so much more of interest on this hike.
Beginning at Llanhilleth, the route trends upwards and then towards Llanhilleth Common, stopping for an exploration of 'Blue Lagoon'. Then it's downhill, skirting Abertillery and picking up a riverside trail that takes us through Aberbeeg, past 'The Guardian' and back to the start point.
This is an easier walk with 14km and 325m of ascent, allowing for plenty of stops and exploration along the way.

Wye Valley Wander
Woods of Whitchurch , Old Monmouth road, HR9 6DJ,, Ross-on-Wye, GBKing Arthur's Wye Valley Walk is a 13km day with 300m of ascent and is over some rough, muddy and broken ground, but in the main is on good footpaths and tracks, and so is doable by most, although some feel pretty tired at the end of the day.
This walk was designed by Wales Outdoors and takes in the highlights and using lesser-known paths. King Arthur's Cave, Symmonds Yat, Biblin's Wibbly Wobbly Bridge, an Iron Age hill fort said to be the last camp of King Vortigen... all of these will be explored, and of course the magnificent River Wye too.
We have been delivering walks at this location for over thirty years and our knowledge of the area, its industrial heritage and its natural environments will be ours to share with you!
