What we have on offer here is our Five Star eight-hour day tour from Cardiff, our ‘Three Amazing Castles, Tintern Abbey And Roman Caerleon’, which retails in the high season at £167.50 pp, on offer as a staff ‘warm-up’ event. This is for tourism professionals, members of our social hiking group and indeed any ‘local’ that wants to experience a fine day out in South East Wales at a bargain basement price.

Travelling from Cardiff or Newport in our fully electric minivan, we’ll journey across SE Wales. Consider the minivan as a time machine, enjoy travelling with your driver/guide from one era to another, experiencing the Ancient Britons, the Romans, the Normans, the Tudors and the Victorians…

And the great thing for you is that we are not going to bill you £167.50 pp! For this one time in 2026 only this tour is available to readers of this blog, followers of our Facebook page and members of our social hiking group for just £50 pp. You’ll also need to have either CADW membership or purchase in advance (cheaper - we can sort this for you as a trade purchase), or on the day, a Three Day CADW Explorer Pass. This equates to a 66% Discount!

Kids, of all ages, are welcome ;) Sturdy footwear and clothing for a range of weather is recommended. Toilets and snacks are available at most stops. Lunch is usually in Caerleon, where there are options of a pub, a lovely cafe (we’ll book a table) or the village bakery.
