Walk in Albany Rural Cemetery

Come walk with America's Walking Club, Walkescv.org, through a 400+ acre, park-like landscape in this historic cemetery, established in 1844. The start table is open from 9 -10:30. All walkers must sign in and pay the $4 walk fee before starting the walk. Please finish your walk and check back in before 1 pm. You will be visiting the resting place of Chester A. Arthur, 21st President of the United States and other notables. The walk starts in a business parking lot adjacent to the main entrance for the cemetery on Broadway (NY Rt 32) in Menands. The 6K and 10K walks through the cemetery will take you over gravel paths with a few short uphill stretches. Dogs on leashes are allowed. Strollers possible, wheel chairs not recommended.
