Bike Ride on the Zim Smith Trail

Please join us for our first bike ride of 2026 on the Zim Smith Bike Trail. The Starting Point is Shenentaha Creek Park in Malta off Eastline Road, Saturday, May 23. Registration is from 8:30 to 8:55. All riders must sign a waiver and pay the $4 event fee. The ride starts at 9:00. Helmets must be worn. Enjoy a leisurely ride on a paved bike path to Mechanicville. There are bathrooms at the start point and at Coons Crossing. If you want to cut the ride short, you can turn around at Coons Crossing. On the way back, we will mosey around the lovely cottages in Round Lake and if you wish, take a stop at Leah’s Cakery for a sweet treat. The ride is 18 miles/ 29km round trip. We will not ride in the rain or threat of lightning. A cancelation will be posted the evening before around 7 pm if necessary. Your host is Brenda Streed. POC is Tad Darling, 518-275-6220.”
