Walk, meet and maybe eat?

About 1.5 hour of healthy walking and fun small-talking through lovely Copenhagen. We meet at 11.00 by the stairs at "Kongens Nytorv" metro station, quickly pick a route and set off. Bring an open mind and this diverse group of people can certainly deliver an enjoyable chat, boosted further by a city jam-packed with interesting sites. Ending up in Nyhavn at around 12.30, you will have plenty of opportunities for lunch (if desired).

Your fellow walkers are typically in it for the fun and find the route less important. But feel free to glance at our current routes below and if something strikes a chord with you then don't hesitate to mention it.

Route "open"
This route has an "open space" feel to it, with the shoreline as an almost constant companion and only a few road crossings. Sites include Nyhavn, Langelinje (harbour), Copenhagen Opera House, The Little Mermaid, Kastellet, Amalienborg and more. Our timing often allows us to witness the "changing of the guards" at the royal castle.

Route "city"
This route gives you a feel for the streets, squares, buildings and parks of central Copenhagen. Sites include Strøget (shortly), Christiansborg (parliament), The Round Tower, King's garden, Rosenborg Castle, churches, squares, fun detours into tiny streets and more.
