Blackstone traditional volkswalking event (5 & 10 km)

TRAIL DESCRIPTIONS: Both routes explore the Blackstone Gorge (pictured below) and are on paved paths with areas of natural terrain. The 5km route explores a small section of the Blackstone Gorge with natural paths as well as the paved Blackstone River Greenway rail trail. The 10km route is on part of the Southern New England Trunkline Trail (SNETT), the portion through Blackstone is called the Blackstone River Greenway. Other sights include the Blackstone River & Canal Heritage State Park, and the Blackstone Historical Museum. The 10km & 5km routes have an AVA rating of 1A and are generally doable for strollers and wheelchairs. The routes are on paved surfaces with some areas on natural terrain.
