9:00 AM Walk Sleeping Turtles Preserve North

This is a beautiful area with over 5 miles of wooded trails. One trail has views of the Myakka River and branches off to a side trail that will bring us right down to the river and a kayak landing.
MEETING TIME IS 9:00 AM. Meetup software provides a default meeting time of 7:00 p.m. and I have been unable to change it when creating the event on my phone.
Last year there was a porta-potty in the parking lot, so it probably is still there.
Driving east on Border Road, the entrance to the Preserve is on the left just before the bridge that goes over the Myakka River.
The address is 3462 Border Rd., Venice.
In the parking lot, you should see my white Chrysler Pacifica with a Florida Everglades license plate. I will be with a black German Shepherd down by the sign shown in the photo (that's a different German Shepherd in the photo)
We will leave that sign at 9:00 a.m. sharp. If you are late, walk into the Preserve a bit, take a 90° turn to the right which heads you toward the river and then you bear left to go along the river.
