Walk Oscar Scherer 9:00 a.m. Nov. 14
Details
We will meet at the picnic table at the "front/left" of the Nature Center PRIOR to 9:00 a.m. to introduce ourselves. At 9:00 a.m., we will leave the Nature Center, cross the bridge over South Creek and walk the orange trail out to a trail along South Creek. This is a beautiful walk and has long sections in the shade. Depending on the interest of the group, we can either go as far as the second bridge or we can go all the way out to the observation platform at Big Lake.
If you arrive after 9:00 a.m., head to the Orange Trail. You should be able to catch up because we will be walking at a moderate pace and stopping along the way to see birds. (You might want to bring binoculars.)
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on all walks.
Entry fee is $4 for a single occupancy vehicle.
Drive 0.9 mile from the park entrance to the Visitor Center. There is a sign at the entrance to the parking lot.
If you are unable to attend an event for which you rsvp'd yes, please change your status to "not going." (No shows will automatically be dropped from the group.)
