Lunchtime Walk at Felstead Park (Mountjoy Ave)

Welcome to our first Walk & Talk Near the Danforth! If you work from home, are retired, or just want a midday break and chat, please join us. You don’t need to know anyone beforehand - please show up, say hi!

The Plan:
We’ll gather at 11:50 AM at the NORTHEAST corner of Felstead Park (Mountjoy Ave and the laneway) and set off promptly at noon.

We'll walk out for about 20 minutes, then turn back, aiming to finish by 12:50. The distance will depend a little on the group's pace.
We'll walk in small groups where possible, and there will be opportunities to chat with different people along the way.

The Route:
We’ll walk at a conversational pace, but this walk is not flat - there is a hill down under the railroad tracks toward Woodfield Road and back up again, so please make sure you’re comfortable with a steady walk that includes hills. We'll start at Felstead Park, walk through the laneway towards Monarch Park and under the railway tracks, aiming to stick to quiet residential streets and lanes.

A few practical details
• Weather and Cancellation: We’ll walk in light rain or snow, but I will cancel if conditions are icy or severe. Please turn on notifications for the group so you don’t miss a cancellation. I'll post an update on the event page by 9 a.m. if we need to cancel.
• RSVP: If your plans change, please update your RSVP so someone else can take your place.
• Group guidelines: This is a friendly, inclusive, social walk. We're starting with adults only and no dogs or strollers.
