Rainy day museum walk and cafe
Details
Join us for a slightly unusual “walk” this time. Since the weather forecast promises to be rather dreadful, we will take our walk indoors and explore the fascinating spaces of the National Museum of Scotland instead.
The museum is full of remarkable things to see, from science and technology to natural history, world cultures and Scottish history. We will wander through the galleries at a relaxed pace, stopping to look at whatever catches our interest. It is a great chance to explore the building together, discover unexpected objects and share thoughts about the exhibits along the way.
Afterwards, if people would like to continue the conversation, we will head to Black Medicine Coffee at 2 Nicholson Street for tea, coffee and a chat.
You are very welcome to join us only for the museum walk, or just for the caf afterwards if you prefer.
We will meet at 2pm inside the main entrance hall of the National Museum of Scotland. Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early. We will wait around 5 minutes for everyone before starting our wander through the museum.
The pace will be gentle and suitable for anyone who would simply like to enjoy the surroundings and good company.
Everyone buys their own food and drink at the cafe.
Contribution: please bring £3 in cash on the day to support the running costs and upkeep of the group. Thank you very much.
