Join us for a special Easter Sunday walk up Salisbury Crags, one of the most spectacular viewpoints in Edinburgh. It’s a lovely way to spend Easter Day outdoors, enjoying fresh air, good company and breathtaking views across the city skyline, the Old Town, Arthur’s Seat and the Firth of Forth.

The route includes uneven terrain and a moderate uphill climb, so a reasonable level of fitness is required and you take part at your own risk.

Please come dressed appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy walking or hiking shoes that allow you to move comfortably on rocky paths.

Everyone is welcome.

We’ll meet at 1pm next to the kiosk in the Holyrood car park. We’ll wait around 5 minutes for everyone to arrive, so please try to come 5–10 minutes early. The pace will be gentle, giving everyone plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings, the views and perhaps take a few photos.

After the walk, if there are seats available, we’ll head to Richmond Cafe for tea, coffee and a relaxed chat. Everyone buys their own food and drink. It’s absolutely fine if you’d prefer to join just for the walk.

If the weather is very poor, we may need to cancel the walk. I will confirm on the day and post an update to let everyone know.

Contribution: please bring £3 in cash on the day to help support the running costs and upkeep of the group. Thank you so much.
