Sunday walk on Salisbury Crags
Details
Join us for a special Sunday walk up Salisbury Crags, one of the most spectacular viewpoints in Edinburgh. It’s a lovely way to spend day outdoors, enjoying fresh air, good company and breathtaking views across the city skyline, the Old Town, Arthur’s Seat and the Firth of Forth.
The route includes uneven terrain and a moderate uphill climb, so a reasonable level of fitness is required and you take part at your own risk.
Please come dressed appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy walking or hiking shoes that allow you to move comfortably on rocky paths.
Everyone is welcome.
We’ll meet at 2pm next to the kiosk in the Holyrood car park. We’ll wait around 5 minutes for everyone to arrive, so please try to come 5–10 minutes early. The pace will be gentle, giving everyone plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings, the views and perhaps take a few photos.
After the walk, we’ll head to a cafe for tea, coffee and a relaxed chat (location TBC). Everyone buys their own food and drink. It’s absolutely fine if you’d prefer to join just for the walk.
If the weather is very poor, we may need to cancel the walk. I will confirm on the day and post an update to let everyone know.
Please pay the £3 contribution using the following link to help support organising the Meetup and cover platform fees: https://pay.sumup.com/b2c/Q12SNJ7O
If you booked and paid for the previous walk that had to be cancelled due to the weather, there’s no need to pay a second time.
