Walking along the walkway connecting Lumpini Park to Benjakiti Park at dusk is presently my most favorite route as it is calming and invigorating. I found it absolutely priceless to be able to absorb both beauty and tranquility of nature at my own pace after a full arduous and scorching week in our concrete jungle.

This walk, we will start from Lumpini Park, inside the park big gate next to MRT Silom station. We will walk along a part of the running track. We might encounter a few friendly water monitors and cats. After the park, we will walk under the Green Bridge/Saphan Kheow, which is the elevated path connecting the two parks. This is a backstreet of the local hood. Then we will arrive at Benjakiti Park and walk along the lighted elevated walkway. Once there, you will find yourself in a peaceful little pocket of forest that’s very rare in our city.

This evening our destination will be the Queen Sirikit Convention Center. You can travel to other places via MRT Queen Sirikit Station. For those that still don’t want to end the evening, the center is having the Sustainability Expo and a SX Food Festival. We can explore the hall to find out what this event is all about. Who knows, there might be some attractive yummy food there.

The pace will be easy as I know your legs might be ready to fall off after a full day walking around at work. I want the walk to be pleasant, not a torture for you. 😉
