Not sure if there's any railway fan here. If you'd want to see a steam locomotive in action, here is the chance. We're going to the former Central Railway Station/ หัวลำโพง to watch a steam locomotive taking off for a day trip. We'll have a couple of minutes to take pictures/videos at very close range. While waiting for the take off, you can wander around the train station to watch other locomotives or admire the place itself.

Once we finish with the train, we'll have breakfast somewhere along the way. What I have in mind are rice porridge/โจ๊กหมู and grilled pork/หมูย่าง near Wat Trai-mit. Anyhow, you are free to make a stop to get whatever that catch your eyes during the walk. Then we will continue onto the quiet Chaina Town in the morning sun to reach the pier to hop a furry to walk on the other side of the Chaophraya River. There we'll walk through some busy small lanes to reach Lhong 1919. This place is formerly an old charming Chinese residence. We will spend as much time as we need there so everyone can have a lookaround.

From there we'll continue to walk onto Icon Siam so you can catch a ferry to BTS Saphan Taksin, or you can explore the mall at your leisure. There's a balcony on the 7th floor where you can take in a remarkable view of the Chao Phraya River too.

Walking distance is 6km+. Please come equipped with a pair of comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses, caps/hats, and an umbrella. Don't forget to drink plenty of water before starting the walk too.

Time: 08:45 hr. Meeting point is inside the main hall of Bangkok Railway Station. There is a group of benches in front of the ticket office. I'll be hanging out around here. In case you couldn't find the group or me, you can reach us at
