We'll walk from Heather Farms park through Walnut Creek along the canal trail, then turn around and return to the park.
THE WALK: It's all flat and paved. The canal trail winds through the center of Walnut Creek in between housing developments. It's about 4.5 miles and takes about 1.5 hours.
AFTER THE WALK: We'll meet afterward at Peet's Coffee on Ygnacio Valley Road, across from the park.
