Bank Holiday, Great Sugar Loaf in Kilmacanogue, Wicklow.

We will be meeting up at Dublin Connolly Train Station at 11:00 AM on Monday, 3rd of August.

  • Meeting Point : Dublin Connolly Train Station (Inside beside Pret A Manger).
  • When : Bank Holiday Monday, 3rd of August.
  • Time : 11:00 AM.

At 11:05, we will leave Dublin Connolly Train Station and walk 5 minutes to Busáras Bus Station then we will be taking the 133 Bus to Wicklow, which leaves at 11:15 AM.

  • Bus : 133 Bus Eireann.
  • From : Busàras.
  • Departure : 11:15 AM.
  • Duration : 57 Minutes, 16 Stops.
  • Exit Bus : Kilmacanogue (12:12 PM).

When we are off the bus at Kilmacanogue at 12:12 PM, we will head to Avoca by crossing over the bridge and walking there. (13 Minutes, 1 Kilometre), reaching Avoca 12:24 PM.

There is a Coffee Shop called The Fern House Cafe at Avoca, they serve freshly baked pastries & handcrafted sandwiches with great coffee.

At 12:45, we will start, by leaving Avoca and joining the Route that follow up to the Great Sugar Loaf Way.

  • Trail Duration : 7 to 8 Kilometres.
  • Time : 2 Hours - 2 Hours 30 Minutes.
  • Difficulty : Moderate.

When we reach the top, you will see The Little Sugar Loaf, Bray Head, Dublin & Wicklow Mountains.

What To Bring ?

  • Leap Card.
  • Snacks.
  • Water.
  • Dogs are welcome on leads but please be very careful.
  • Hiking Boots (Optional).

Looping around and back at 15:15 AM to Kilmacanogue.

133 Bus Éireann is an hourly service to Dublin.
