It is a 19 minute walk to the Starting Point of the Trail, we will be walking through the town of Rathdrum, (there are a lot of narrow paths in this area walking, please be careful)

Coffee Shops in Rathdrum : Coffin Shed, Pitstop Coffee (Local garage) N11 Avondale & Seed Store Cafe.

This trail is a forestry, with lots of red squirrels in the forest, it is next door to Avondale Forest Park and this is a looped trail.

Places : Avonmore River, Samuel Hayes Bridge, Ballgannon Wood, Avondale House, Avondale Forest Park, Tree Top Viewing Tower in Avondale (Charged, €16 for Students & Over 65s, Adult €18).

There are TWO Trains Scheduled back to Connolly Train Station from Rathdrum Train Station at 15:44 PM & 19:38 PM.

• 15:44 PM Rathdrum : 17:04 PM Connolly in Dublin.
• 19:38 PM Rathdrum : 21:05 PM Connolly in Dublin.

If we miss the train we will be getting the 183 to Wicklow Town and then getting the 133 Bus to Busáras Bus Station in Dublin

• 183 to Glendalough (27 Minutes) & Get off in Wicklow Town, this Bus is Scheduled Every 2 Hours.
• 133 from Colley Row is an hourly service to Busáras by Bus Éireann. (1 Hour & 20 Minutes)
