Brinsley/Erewash Nature Reserve/Cromford Canal/Codnor Reservoir - 8-9 miles

Parking is free at Brinsley Headstocks. In the event the car park is full, please park on Hall Lane which is the first road on the left after Brinsley Headstocks car park (if coming up the hill). The Rainbow One bus also stops directly outside the car park.

We'll follow the Erewash Nature Reserve and Cromford Canal to Codnor Reservoir where refreshments may be available but plenty of benches to sit on if you bring your own picnic. From there we will go up Monument Lane and follow the track all the way back, passing the remains of Codnor Castle on the way

It could be muddy along the nature reserve, please wear suitable footwear
