Walk With Two Windmills.

Details
Starting from around the George Inn, (what three words: truckload.vehicle.neatly) Lower Hartshay. Plenty of on-street parking.
The walk will follow the old Cromford canal before over fields to the first working windmill at Heage, the only surving six sail stone windmill where we will get the chance to look around. Then over more fields before crossing the A610 and the railway and heading uphill towards the ruin of the second windmill at Thorpe Hill, Frichley. The visit to Heage windmill may coincide with a break for lunch.
We then drop down and cross the River Amber and back to the George which, unfortunately closes at 2.30. Around 6 miles.
If the weather is unsuitable, such as heavy rain, then this event may unfortunately be postponed.
