Curbar/Froggatt/White Edge sunset walk - 6 miles

This is a beautiful walk with amazing views regardless of whether we actually catch a sunset. It will be 6 miles of steady walking which we will do in reverse of the walk in the link above in the hope that we will be rewarded with a sunset when we reach Curbar Edge. Once the sun has set, it is a very short and easy walk back to the car park.

It is a surprisingly easy walk in terms of ascent, but can be uneven underfoot in places so good footwear is essential. It could also be chilly, even if we are lucky enough to get a warm day beforehand so layers advised.

Parking is in the National Trust car park at Curbar Gap - the car park isn't huge and car sharing is advised. There is also roadside parking but limited.

Postcode: S32 3YR - meet at 4.30 to set off shortly after to allow us plenty of time to admire the view on the way round with a pub stop at the Grouse Inn, Froggatt halfway round
