Eight Mile Ilkeston Industrial, Greenery and Canal Walk

Let’s see if we can do some exploring around Ilkeston with a walk from Ilkeston down to the Erewash Canal then along the disused Nutbrook Canal and through the site of Stanton Ironworks.

At Straws Bridge we will break for a thirty minute refreshment and comfort break before heading through Pewitt Carr Nature Reserve then back to the start.

Plenty of free car parking around Ilkeston and frequent TrentBarton bus service The Twos from Nottingham to the starting point.
