Christmas walk: Gingerbread house-exhibition and Christmas market
Details
On Saturday let's meet at Sergels torg and walk straight to the Gingerbread house-exhibition at ArkDes (to beat some of the queues). The theme this year is "Love":
"This year, 151 entries are on display, created by both young and old, amateurs and professionals who have let their imaginations take shape in gingerbread dough throughout the holiday season. The theme of this year’s Gingerbread House exhibition is love. Together we celebrate love for architecture, design, and detail."

There is no admission fee at ArkDes (the Swedish Centre for Architecture and Design). It's situated in the same building as the Moderna Museum on Skeppsholmen.
After seeing the 151 Gingerbread houses we have fika/lunch at Moderna's restaurant and enjoy the views from the panorama windows.
From there we continue to Skeppsholmsgården Christmas market nearby. On only this weekend.
(A year ago we also visited the famous Svensk Tenn boutique and the Östermalm Food Hall but this year we head straight to the Gingerbread houses. An option if we are still some people at 16.00 is to check out some of the Nobel Week Lights-artworks.)
Starting point:
In the middle of Sergels torg at the Christmas tree (see uploaded pictures below).
Ending point:
Somewhere on Skeppsholmen. From there SL-ferry 82 to Slussen or a short walk (or bus no 65) to T-centralen.
