Walk around posh Saltsjöbaden
Details
On Friday let's visit Saltsjöbaden, a wonderful mix of beautiful nature, great architecture and interesting history.
Gemini:
"Saltsjöbaden (meaning "Salt Sea Baths") is a picturesque, affluent seaside locality in Nacka Municipality, Stockholm County, Sweden. Located on the Baltic Sea coast, it is a well-known, historically significant spa town and resort area established in the late 19th century as a getaway for Stockholm’s upper and upper-middle classes."
We meet at 12.05 at Slussen and take bus and light rail Saltsjöbanan to station Ringvägen (bus 409 from platform G departing at 12.30). From there we follow the shoreline to Saltsjöbaden. We end with fika or lunch at Stationshuset Café a few metres from Saltsjöbaden station. Their menu in Swedish:
As usual this walk is all about socialising. Or to walk, talk, mingle and connect. Very informal. And only one rule: we are 100% nice to each other.
Starting point:
Outside Stockholm City Museum, metro-station Slussen (see added photo).
Ending point:
Same as starting point.
