OLD WINDSOR INTO WINDSOR ALONG THE THAMES AND BACK ON A BOAT ON THE THAMES

I did this two years ago and it was very popular. Lots of stress for me but I hope that we can get the 20 people that I am booking tickets for.

If you book and are late or lost, call me on 07395 004461 I have booked for 20 places on a 90 minute boat trip from Windsor back to Old Windsor @ 4pm. I can get more but you will need to pay me in advance as I will shortly have to pay for the 20 tickets which could leave me out of pocket, which is not what I do this for. The normal cost on the day is £24.50 for the boat trip only, although it is reduced slightly if you book it in advance on line. The cost via me for the walk and boat trip is £19 or £23, so I am passing on the reduction to you. We start in Old Windsor and shortly join the Thames and for most of the 6-7 mile flat walk, it is near the river. However there is some roadside walking due to riverside buildings and depending upon the weather and what you want to do, I can take you into Eton through the playing fields and part of the college and along Eton High Street which is fantastic. There will be a 10 minute stop around Datchet and I am sure the slightly extra length should not be a problem. We should reach Windsor at 1.30, maybe 2pm which gives you 2 hours+ to do as you wish. Lynn and I will indulge in an eat as much as you like Thai buffet for £12 which I have introduced to many people and nobody has fallen ill or not enjoyed the food. There are lots of other eateries and cafes available so as long as you join me at 4pm, the time is yours.

At 4pm we join the boat for a 90 minute cruise back to Old Windsor and a short walk to the cars when we return. Drinks are available on the boat but at an extra cost and I suspect there will some commentary explaining where you are and its history. This should be a good day out for lots of you and I hope very much it proves successful. I will need paying very soon and once you book I will send you the bank details. If you want to wait to nearer the time, that is fine but there may be no seats available, who knows.

* The £15 scheme allows you to attend any walk led by me (when others lead it will be £4) between July 2025 and 30th December 2025. This will be about 20 walks for £15.
