WALK - SHALFORD & ARTINGTON (4 to 5 miles)

THE ROAD THROUGH SHALFORD IS NOW RE-OPENED

We start from Clifford Manor Road , Guildford GU4 8AD off Pilgrims Way just south of Guildford .

This is a lovely walk that includes a fair bit of walking along the Wey Navigation . I had 3 canal / narrow boats pass me during the reccy and if we are lucky we may see one going through Shalford Lock .

We stop off at Shalford Mill for a bit of history and later a pill box next to a dissused railway .

There may be a pub opportunity two thirds of the way through this walk at the Olde Ship Inn , so I've allowed extra time (3 hours total) to include a stop off .

This walk is not on Mikes £15 scheme , so it's £4 each cash on the day please .
