A perfect walk of around 5 miles as the ground is firm underneath on earth, paths and tarmac. It may run a little longer than 2 hours but no more than 2.5 unless we have some unforeseen difficulties. We will make a 15 minute stop after about an hour where you can purchase tea, coffee, ice cream and cakes etc and use the facilities nearby.
We will join the park from a corner on the A30 and make our way towards the lake on a path few of you will know and then follow it until we turn off to the Valley Gardens and Punch Bowl where surrounding this we can see a wonderful display of azaleas and rhododendrons hopefully, and then back via Obelisk pond and perhaps nearby places which will depend on the weather. Pretty much flat with a couple of slopes and wide tracks for the most part.
There is plenty of on road parking on Bagshot Road and Larksfield but it may be a couples of minutes away from where we start so please arrive a few minutes earlier.
