Hiking and Brainstorming at Makiki Valley Trail

Details

After a summer hiatus, please join us for unique and interactive event that combines hiking with brainstorming, networking and intellectually-stimulating discussions.

Let's give Makiki Valley Trail a try, which is relatively easy and has some great views - great for group hikes.

Location: Located in the Makiki Valley, about a 10-minute drive from downtown Honolulu.

Trail Length: Approximately 2 miles round trip.

Difficulty: Easy, with some gentle inclines and well-maintained paths.

Highlights: This trail takes you through a lush tropical forest with plenty of shade. You’ll see a variety of native plants, and the loop allows you to enjoy different sections of the forest. The trail is wide and not too steep, making it manageable for a large group with varying fitness levels.

Please check the trail details here: https://www.journeyera.com/makiki-valley-loop-trail/

We will kick off the event with a brainy session where participants can share their innovative ideas and form interest groups.

We'll then make a stop every half an hour or so to rotate the groups. That way everyone can get maximum exposure for their ideas, help/advise others and do some networking.

Here are also some points for the upcoming meetup:

What to bring to the next meeting:
- Questions, enthusiasm, open mind
- Comfortable shoes and clothing (the trail might get muddy)
- Business cards

What to do during the meeting:
-Mingle with all the other attendees - try to talk to every person for at least 5-10 min
- Ask questions
- Brainstorm ideas

Leave the meeting with:
- Good workout
- Great ideas
- Answers, results, plan of action
