Full Moonrise Hike at the Mesa Ridge - Summerlin Mesa Park

The Mesa Ridge located in South Summerlin offers a fantastic view across the Vegas Valley and of The Strip. The hike is a there and back of just over 4mi with gentle switchbacks of about 500ft of elevation gain. Though, there’s a rocky section along a dry stream bed where sturdy shoes are recommended. The full moonrise and sunset is around 7:15pm, where we should arrive at the ridge in time if we meet up at Mesa Park at 6pm. Be sure to bring a light source, hydration and perhaps something to sit on at the ridge as it's a bit rocky at the viewing area. I’ll email the weather forecast to attendees the day prior and will mention the status of the hike. Also, please consider a small donation to Walking Las Vegas to help cover the cost of the annual MeetUp dues. Lastly, regrets but because of safety concerns - werewolves are not allowed to partake of the full moonrise hike. Happy trails…
