A walk around Fort Hamilton and Bensonhurst (Brooklyn)

We’re going to take a walk around Fort Hamilton and Bensonhurst (Brooklyn). This walk will be ~5 miles at a brisk pace, stopping every few blocks to briefly read aloud from a guide book. About half of the walk will hug the shoreline of Gravesend Bay (dress for wind). The endpoint of the 5-mile book-guided walk will be near the Dyker Heights Christmas lights, for those who want to continue onward (freestyle).

Start: 2:30pm, Sunday, December 21st, outside Fort Hamilton Diner (9502 4th Ave, corner of 95th St), near the R subway (Bay Ridge-95 St). We will only wait 5 minutes, so please arrive on time. There probably won’t be any restroom opportunities during the walk, so please plan ahead.

End: ~4:30pm, 18th Ave and New Utrecht Ave, by the D subway (18 Ave).
