Pre Super Bowl

Kick off the Super Bowl with a SELF GUIDED 5K or 11K walk. There will be GUIDED group walks for both the 5K and 11K starting at 10 am sharp.

Walk has two 5K routes and one 11k route. Walk on sidewalks and along street shoulders into some of the historic areas of Portland and into
Alberta Park, past University of Oregon - Portland Campus (find the Peace Pole) for this particular 5km route. The other 5km route goes to and through the Alberta District and some of their nice eateries and various shops. The 11k route goes to the Alameda District and back, there are stairs on one section of the route. There will be markers (arrows or ribbons) on the 5K and 11K route along with instructions and maps. Walking Credit Fee is $4.00. Please consider a $2.00 donation so we can continue our walks. Pets are not allowed inside the McMenamins Kennedy School building.

These 5K walks are rated 1A, easy. The 11K is rated 2A, moderate. Look for registration signs to the Parsons Room of the McMenamins Kennedy School. Registration will only be open from 9 am-11:30 am. We ask all participants to sign the Amateur Athletic Waiver and Release of Liability.

Start Point / Driving Directions: 5736 NE 33rd Avenue, Portland, OR:

I-84 Eastbound (NE 33rd Avenue Exit): LEFT on NE 33rd Ave and drive 2 miles to the McMenamins Kennedy School on the Right - At the corner of NE Jessup and NE Ave, turn RIGHT and go to the parking lot on your left behind the McMenamins Kennedy School, parking could be difficult and you may have to park on the street.

I-84 Westbound - NE 43rd Ave exit and follow signs for NE Broadway. LEFT (West) on NE Broadway for one mile. RIGHT (North) on NE 33rd Ave two miles to the McMenamins Kennedy School on the RIGHT. (See above for parking)

Comments: Water and restrooms at the start/finish and along the
routes. Pets are permitted on both routes - NOT IN BUILDING(S).
