About us
Walking Project is a one-of-a-kind advocacy initiative working to make the Mumbai Metropolitan Region more walkable. We do this through a grassroots citizen movement, sustained engagement with government bodies, and by creating an open platform for conversations around urbanism.
Our work is grounded in action. We host Community Walks, where participants explore neighbourhoods on foot, discuss pedestrian infrastructure, and audit it in real time. We also organize Community Talks—interactive sessions that combine presentations with group discussions on walkability, urban design, and civic participation.
Whether you're a concerned citizen, urban enthusiast, or simply someone who walks the city every day, this is a space to learn, engage, and contribute to shaping better streets.
