16 years and still alive and kicking! My favorite night of the week, and hope it will be yours, too.

Since many of us living in California came from other places, we hadn't learned California history in school. We found that starting out with something we were already familiar with made history more interesting, so we began many years ago with the story of the people who settled Sunnyvale -- the first wagon train to successfully cross the Sierra Nevada. Unlike the Donner party a couple of years later, the Stephens Townsend Murphy Party made it from Iowa to San Jose without losing a single member....in fact, two more people came with them.

We've covered pretty much all of the state over the years -- so a few months ago we went back to the bottom of the state and are zig-zagging our way back north, though perhaps a bit erratically. Lots of new videos have come along since we began so long ago, so we are re-visiting some of our former stops as well as new ones.

Looking forward to having you join us! This week we'll be visiting San Diego, Ramona, and the World's Largest Thermometer in Baker, CA ...and maybe more!
