# 🌄 Wilsons Prom Weekend - Camp & Two Walks

Friday: travel to Tidal River campsite at Wilsons Prom.
Set up camp, explore the campsite, beach, local walks, etc.

WALKS:
Saturday: 16km - 10am start - I plan to walk from Tidal River Campsite to Oberon Bay Campsite, have lunch, then walk back to Tidal River.
- Grade 3, moderate, some steep sections.
Sunday: 12km - 10am start - after packing up, I plan to walk from Tidal River to Lilly Pilly Gully, then up to Mt Bishop, then back to Tidal River.
- Grade 3, moderate, some steep sections.

The above walks may be changed depending on the weather conditions.
There are other alternative walks you might like to try if the above do not suit you.

CAMPING:
I have booked and paid for sites 181 and 182 which are on 5th Avenue.
These sites can fit two tents plus two cars.
A booking is for 1 car and 2 adults. An extra car is $22.
If you would like one of the other three spaces available on these sites please let me know in the comments

  • the cost is $40 plus $22 for a 2nd car
  • payment to me secures your spot
  • I can then update the booking to include your car rego
  • If enough people are interested I/you can book other sites

This weekend falls on the last weekend of the term 3 school holidays.
Booking your spot / campsite early is recommended.

CAMPING EQUIPMENT:
WIND - Wilsons Prom can be very windy. I strongly recommend smaller hike style tents rather than larger family style tents.
I will bring a gazebo and some tables and some gas stoves which you can use if you would like.
I have a couple of tents and inflatable mattresses which I can lend to people if they don't have them. Let me know in the comments what you need.

CAMPING FOOD:
Bring your own food/drink for the weekend.
WOMBATS: do NOT store food in your tent. You may end up with a furry visitor and a wrecked tent.
There is a shop selling food, drinks, etc at the campsite.
The nearest supermarket is a long way away.
