Fan Fawr circular

Description

This 7.6mile/12.3km long, 1824m assention circular walk of Fan Fawr starting and finishing at Storey Arms car park. The route begins with a stiff steep climb onto the ridge, rewarded with sweeping panoramas of the surrounding hills and valleys. It follows high ground for much of the way, crossing open moorland and skirting small streams before looping back down to gentler paths. The return leg winds through quieter ground to bring us back towards Storey Arms.

Kit Recomendation

As the weather is so unpredictable we recommend bringing waterproof jacket/trousers, waterproof hiking boots/shoes with good tred, set of hiking poles, multiple layers of warm clothing with a summery base layer, hat, gloves, scarf also enough snacks and drinks to last the walk

We will stopping off at a local pub after the walk for some refreshments and a spot of Sunday lunch, we will sort the details of this closer to the date when we have numbers.
