This 8.5 mile / 13.7 km walk will begin at barry Sidings, where we’ll embark on a scenic journey through lush forest trails. As we make our way upward, we’ll enjoy the peaceful woodland surroundings and the fresh air. The route will lead us to the summit of Mynydd y Glyn, where we’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. After taking in the scenery, we’ll head back down, enjoying the return journey through the forest.

We will stopping off at a local pub after the walk for some refreshments and a spot of Sunday lunch, we will sort the details of this closer to the date when we have numbers.

Kit Recommendations

As the weather is so unpredictable we recommend bringing waterproof jacket/trousers, waterproof hiking boots/shoes with good tred, set of hiking poles, multiple layers of warm clothing with a summery base layer, hat, gloves, scarf also enough snacks and drinks to last the walk
