Margam Park to Mynydd Margam Circular
Details
A 14.4-km/9-mile circular route, starting from Margam Park, the walk begins on well-made paths through the parkland, a gentle and sheltered way to get moving before the ground starts to rise. Leaving the trees behind, the route climbs steadily onto Mynydd Margam, the ascent being long rather than steep.
Once on the open common the character changes completely, with wide, airy walking and big views across Swansea Bay, the Gower, and inland over the Afan and Neath valleys.
The return is more gradual, following good tracks back towards the park.
