Great Malvern Hills Circular

Distance: 12.5 miles (20 km)
Elevation Gain: 3,150 ft (960 m)
Duration: approximately 8 hours

Starting from Priory Park, where there are several convenient car parks nearby, some of these are listed below.

This walk wastes no time in getting straight into the heart of the Malvern Hills. We make our way towards Tank Quarry Car Park before tackling the first real challenge of the day — a steep and relentless climb up the dramatic valley between North Hill and End Hill.

Once we break out onto the ridge, the effort is rewarded immediately with sweeping views in every direction. From here, the route rolls along the spine of the hills, heading first to Sugarloaf Hill before pushing on to the highest point of the range at Worcestershire Beacon.
The adventure continues south along the undulating ridge, taking in Summer Hill, the distinctive Pinnacle Hill, and on to the impressive Herefordshire Beacon, we finish the high ground at Millennium Hill before descending via a mix of quieter lower paths and forestry tracks, giving the legs a well-earned break as we loop back towards Great Malvern.

This is a big day out with plenty of climbing, constant views, and a real sense of journey along one of the finest ridge walks in England. Perfect for those who enjoy a proper challenge and classic hillwalking terrain.
