Sauna and BBQ at Skavlöten

Details
Hey! Sharing this one-time event here to get this group back up and running!
You can check this out as well for a weekly meetup in Stockholm's Cold Plunge community.
Meet-up: 2 pm at Hägernäs station in Täby. Sunday the 13th. From there, we’ll walk together to Skavlöten lake - a beautiful spot perfect for a plunge. 🌳🦆🌊☀️
The place just got a glow-up: fresh changing rooms, hot showers, and yes… a sauna to defrost in! ❄️🔥
We have plenty of spots for BBQ, so bring your favorite food to grill!
Don’t forget to bring a towel, warm clothes, and your favorite thermos!
Let’s take the plunge together—see you there!
Common questions:
Is there any cost to joining the event?
This event is always FREE of charge. No associated costs.
What if I arrive late? How can I find you?
It happens! Leave a comment here or message me directly, and I will send you an updated location.
It is my first time to join, do I need to have experience?
No experience is needed. The host will provide a briefing and instructions before going to the water. Kindly note that we do this as a hobby and at every individual's self-responsibility.
How long should one stay in the water?
It depends on your comfort level. You can stay as little as 30 seconds or longer as 2–3 minutes, depending on how you feel.
What do those who have already been in the water do while others are still swimming?
To minimize wait times, we split into groups. Make sure to bring warm clothing, socks, and gloves to stay cozy while you wait.
Where do you change into warm clothes?
Changing rooms are available.
