Walk with a UMC Doc is a walking program for people 50 and better who are interested in taking steps toward a healthier lifestyle. Enjoy the beauty of the Springs Preserve while socializing with others who are interested in learning about health and wellness. Walk with a UMC Doc is a free walking program that meets monthly to bring health-minded walkers together. What better way to start your day than on your feet making strides to help your heart and improve your general health! While walking one of the lovely trails at your own pace, you’ll have the opportunity to have questions answered by a physician from University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (UMC). Each walk will last about 30 minutes, and walkers will be provided with complementary water and snacks. There is no charge to participate, or to enter the Springs Preserve. Just show up with your sneakers and sunscreen, and be ready to walk, learn, and have fun! This group meets inside the Springs Preserve at 9:30 a.m. on the third Thursday of every month. Once inside the Springs Preserve, follow the signs to "Walk with a UMC Doc."
